Hercules and Lilith

Hercules and Lilith.

• First Meeting: 1.05 - Girl Trouble
• Status: As close to family as two people can be without being blood related.

Like the rest of the cadets, Hercules meets Lilith when she arrives at Cheiron's Academy. Unlike the others, though, he doesn't seem to go particularly starry-eyed over her. As time goes on, he treats her just as he would any other friend of his, offering words of encouragement when she's upset and knocking her ego down a few pegs when it starts to get overwhelming.

Moments in 1.14 - No Way Out

• To distract her while Jason and Iolaus plan a surprise party for her, Hercules takes Lilith on a mushroom-picking trip at a nearby cave. When the cave collapses and Lilith ends up injured, Hercules does everything he can to both care for her and find a way out. He creates a splint for her leg, keeps her talking about her life prior to the Academy in an attempt to get her to forget about the pain, and even tries to carry her outside through a small opening in the wall.

Moments in 1.19 - The Lure of the Lyre

• Amazed by what he's seen at Bacchus's Cavern, Hercules convinces Iolaus and Lilith to go back with him. When Lilith is bitten by one of the bacchae, though, he's just as quick to get them out of there. At first, Lilith seems fine, but she eventually collapses as she starts to turn. Desperate to find a cure, Hercules tracks down Orpheus and makes him reveal the secret- That the water from the spring that Bacchus won't let anyone touch can change newly-turned bacchae back into humans. Thus, taking Lilith with him, Hercules infiltrates the cavern once again.
