Located inside Bacchus's Cavern, the Gilded Spring is said to come straight from the center of the Earth. The water is poisonous to Bacchae and Bacchus himself, but is harmless to mortals. Despite the danger, Bacchus claims that it's so beautiful he can't bear to cover it over. The waters can be used to "wash the spirit clean" of a mortal who has been bitten but has not yet turned, to prevent them from turning into a Bacchae.
