First Meeting: Young Hercules (Movie Pilot)

Status: Friends

History: Jason and Iolaus first meet at Cheiron's Academy in the series pilot, when the latter manages to somehow get to the Academy before Hercules does. The two get along well, despite Iolaus's apparent inability for discretion and tact and despite them being from two completely different sides of the proverbial tracks. He even steps in to prevent Iolaus from receiving a pummeling from Hercules for almost calling him a bastard. The series proper changes this a bit in that, though it's obvious that they're still friends, they do tend to argue a lot (for examples, see 1.01 - Treasure of Zeus, 1.05 - Girl Trouble, and 1.14 - No Way Out).
