Hera's Valley

Hera's sacred valley is a place rife with wild game. It has boars the size of horses, fish, and lots of peacocks. Killing the last one, though, is an offense punishable by death because the peacock is one of Hera's sacred animals. If you are caught killing one in the valley, the Protector will come after you during the night and, if it captures you, drag you back to its lair to devour you at dawn.

Hercules, Iolaus, and Theseus unknowingly decide to take a weekend camping trip there, told about the place by Aegeus. He naturally fails to mention that A) the valley is Hera's territory and B) it's guarded by a monster.
