Hercules, pretending to be Iolaus.

Not wanting to be late for his first day of work, Iolaus plots to sneak away from detention and begs and pleads with Hercules and Jason to cover for him. To avoid any suspicion from Fiducius, the ruse even goes to the extent of Hercules pretending to be Iolaus.

To make his impersonation complete, Hercules makes the following changes:

  • He puts a mop on his head, to imitate Iolaus's longer, curly hair
  • He kneels, to make up for Iolaus's height difference
  • He covers himself in pigpen muck, to disguise his facial features and clothes
  • He alters his voice, and limits his responses to "yes, sir"
