Ceres

Known to the Greeks as 'Demeter', Ceres is the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain crops, fertility, and motherly relationships. She is said to have discovered, amongst other things, spelt wheat, the plowing and sowing of young seeds, and the yoking of oxen. Amongst her symbols are wheat sheaves, acorns, and cornucopias.
