- First Meeting: Depends on the continuity.
- Status: Friends
- History: Here is where things get a bit confusing-
Between Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Young Hercules, Jason’s backstory changed a *lot*. At the beginning, Jason was considerably older than Hercules. Old enough to have brought news to Alcmene that her husband had died, old enough to be baby Herc’s favorite bedtime story, and apparently old enough to marry Alcmene in season 2 and have it not be too weird.
Season 4 of HtLJ, though, brought us the flashback episodes that would later lead the way for YH to become its own series. Here, the story changes so Jason and Hercules are closer to each other in age and have been friends since they were little kids.
Change number 3 happens in the Young Hercules (Movie Pilot). Here, Jason (age not specified, though Chris Conrad himself was in his late 20s at the time, so it could easily be assumed that Jason would have been about mid-20s) and Hercules (18 years old) only just meet for the first time at Cheiron’s Academy.
