The ghidra is Hera's two-headed pet monster. It is capable of destroying entire villages and is very hard to kill. In fact, you need at least three people to properly do it (one person to distract each head and a third to actually do the killing). When Medea causes tension between Hercules and Jason, causing them to angrily part ways, Hercules and Iolaus find themselves unable to get close enough to slay the creature while avoiding its fire-breathing heads. When Jason arrives to help, they are able to finally defeat it.
