The pet of Alcmene. Usually not very calm around strangers, he grows strangely docile around a Traveling Stranger who was thrown from his horse nearby.

Alcmene: Bear is not usually so calm around strangers. You must have a way with dogs.
Traveling Stranger/Ares: Oh, I do. I do.

• In The Treasure of Zeus Shooting Draft, Bear was written into the script as Hercules's dog. However, he was not in the aired episode.
