Show Summary

  • Aired: January 22, 2010 - April 12, 2013 (USA)
  • This story follows the greatest slave revolt in all of ancient history. Spartacus, leader of the third serville war, is followed from Thrace to the Roman empire where he is forced to live the life of a gladiator under Batiatus, a trainer of gladiators. His heart beats for his wife who had been taken from him. His mission is to set every slave free from their shackles and the shadow of Rome.
  • Gods of the Arena goes through the events that lead up to the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Before Spartacus was the Champion of Capua and the greatest escapee of Rome, the house of Batiatus had a different champion, Gannicus.
