'''Cyane's Voice:''' "We've finally found a place we can-- call our own. We can-- "

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Cyane:''' "-- finally be at peace."
Narrator: “Now, on Young Hercules--

Dis: “The Amazons think the Centaurs have attacked them-- and the Centaurs-- think the Amazons attacked them.  Mortals are so clueless.  I love it when my plans cause pain.
'''Hercules:''' "I'm really happy for you, Cyane."

Strife [Clears throat]: “_My_ plan.”
'''Simula:''' "Help! The beast attacked and dragged them away!"

Dis: “OK-- our plan?
'''Cyane:''' "Who did this?"

Strife: “I feel gloriously-- loathesome.  Uncle Ares is gonna be _so_-- what the-- ?”
'''Simula:''' "Centaurs!"

Ares: “-- very, very upset.
'''Cheiron:''' "I know of no such attack."

Dis: “What’s your problem?”
'''Cavil:''' "You see? It has ever been so between the Amazons and us. Their cunning against our strength. They accuse us of the very crimes that they commit."

Strife: “You know? I bet he hates your little scheme.”  [Screams]
'''Lilith:''' "What?!" [Screams]

Ares: “No, it’s not bad, except for-- one, tiny detail.”
'''Hercules:''' "Lilith!"

Dis: “Lemme guess-- the Amazons.
'''Discord:''' "My plan is working-- perfectly."

Ares:  “Who said you could mess with my favorite mortals?”
'''Strife:''' "They're suffering. Uncle Ares is gonna be so pleased with us!"

Strife: “Maybe next time-- you’ll listen to me.”  [Screams]
'''Cyane:''' "You must go. You must go find Cheiron and tell him that the attacks-- must cease, and restitution paid-- or there _will_ be war!"

Dis: “OK-- so maybe Strife did get a little carried away. But after all-- the last time I checked-- dear Brother-- you were the god of war?”
'''Hercules's Voice:''' "Somethin' doesn't add up, here. If I only had enough time to figure this all out."

Strife: “Swords-- spears-- mayhem.  I mean-- all that great war stuff.  Isn’t that worth a few Amazons?
'''Lilith:''' "What if you don't?"

Ares: “Hmm. War.  Amazons.  Amazons, war.  War is good.  OK, carry on.  But guys-- one last thing-- ”
'''Hercules:''' "The two people that I care about are gonna spend tomorrow trying to destroy each other."

Strife: “Oh, uh, uh, uh, uh-- be sure to wash your hands after every conquest.”
'''Strife:''' "This war is on!"

Ares: “Hercules!  That sniveling, half-mortal spawn of Zeus-- Daddy’s coddled favorite--”
'''Narrator:''' "Now, on Young Hercules-- "

Strife: -- that you despise?”
'''Discord:''' "The Amazons think the Centaurs have attacked them-- and the Centaurs-- think the Amazons attacked them. Mortals are so clueless. I love it when my plans cause pain."

Ares: “Don’t-- and let me repeat this-- don’t-- underestimate Hercules.
'''Strife:''' [Clears throat]: "_My_ plan."

Strife [Whispers]: “OK.”
'''Discord:''' "OK-- our plan?"

Dis: “I’m way ahead of you.
'''Strife:''' "I feel gloriously-- loathesome. Uncle Ares is gonna be _so_-- what the-- ?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Ares:''' "-- very, very upset."
Dis’s Voice:  “Our miserable little half-brother’s about to be history.

Lil: “You haven’t said a word in the last two miles.”
'''Discord:''' "What's your problem?"

H: “Cheiron’s only given the Amazons until dawn, tomorrow to get out of Centaur territory.
'''Strife:''' "You know? I bet he hates your little scheme." [Screams]

Lil: “This is Amazon land, now!  And we aren’t gonna be chased off by anyone.  If the Centaurs want a war, then fine, we’ll give ‘em one!”
'''Ares:''' "No, it's not bad, except for-- one, tiny detail."

H: “There’s got to be a better way, Lilith.
'''Discord:''' "Lemme guess-- the Amazons."

Lil: “There isn’t!  They’ve been hunting us down, and all we wanna do is live in peace!”
'''Ares:''' "Who said you could mess with my favorite mortals?"

H: “The Centaurs say the Amazons have been doing same thing to them!”
'''Strife:''' "Maybe next time-- you'll listen to me." [Screams]

Lil: “Oh, and you believe them?!”
'''Discord:''' "OK-- so maybe Strife did get a little carried away. But after all-- the last time I checked-- dear Brother-- you were the god of war?"

H: “I just don’t wanna see people I care about die!”
'''Strife:''' "Swords-- spears-- mayhem. I mean-- all that great war stuff. Isn't that worth a few Amazons?"

Lil: “That’s not true!  You’re just taking that Centaur’s side!”
'''Ares:''' "Hmm. War. Amazons. Amazons, war. War is good. OK, carry on. But guys-- one last thing-- "

H: “His name is Cheiron!  He used to mean something to you, Lilith!  He was more than just a teacher to you, and he _cared_ about you!”
'''Strife:''' "Oh, uh, uh, uh, uh-- be sure to wash your hands after every conquest."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Ares:''' "Hercules! That sniveling, half-mortal spawn of Zeus-- Daddy's coddled favorite--"
H’s Voice:  “Lilith!”

H: “Lilith!  Lilith? Centaur tracks.”
'''Strife:''' "-- that you despise?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Ares:''' "Don't-- and let me repeat this-- don't-- underestimate Hercules."
I’s Voice:  “OK, so let me get this straight.  You’re deep inside Centaur territory.  Lilith is suddenly missing.  There are Centaur tracks-- all over her last known location-- but the Centaurs are innocent.

I: “Herc-- what’s wrong with this picture?”
'''Strife:''' [Whispers]: "OK."

H: “What’s wrong with this picture is that no one’s looking at the whole picture. Somebody planted those tracks.”
'''Discord:''' "I'm way ahead of you."

I: “What?  With their handy-dandy, little hoofprint-makers?”
'''Discord's Voice:''' "Our miserable little half-brother's about to be history."

H: “We both know that Cheiron’s too honorable to lie.
'''Lilith:''' "You haven't said a word in the last two miles."

I: “He wouldn’t know where to start.
'''Hercules:''' "Cheiron's only given the Amazons until dawn, tomorrow to get out of Centaur territory."

H: “I haven’t known Cyane very long, but I know that she wouldn’t lie to send her people into battle.
'''Lilith:''' "This is Amazon land, now! And we aren't gonna be chased off by anyone. If the Centaurs want a war, then fine, we'll give 'em one!"

I: “Yeah, but they both _can’t_ be telling the truth.
'''Hercules:''' "There's got to be a better way, Lilith."

H: “Whoever took Lilith, left scorch marks on a tree branch.  The Amazons don’t fight with fire.  Neither do the Centaurs.”
'''Lilith:''' "There isn't! They've been hunting us down, and all we wanna do is live in peace!"

I: “So-- it’s gotta be-- ”
'''Hercules:''' "The Centaurs say the Amazons have been doing same thing to them!"

H and I:  “-- a setup-- ”
'''Lilith:''' "Oh, and you believe them?!"

H: “-- that’s right.  See, she’s gotta listen to us, now.”
'''Hercules:''' "I just don't wanna see people I care about die!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Lilith:''' "That's not true! You're just taking that Centaur's side!"
Cyane: “Lilith was from your own academy.  Your blood should boil to avenge her.”

H: “Don’t you see-- that somebody wants this rage?”
'''Hercules:''' "His name is Cheiron! He used to mean something to you, Lilith! He was more than just a teacher to you, and he _cared_ about you!"

I: “Yeah, someone wants this war.”
'''Hercules's Voice:''' "Lilith!"

Cyane: “Who? Do ya have proof?”
'''Hercules:''' "Lilith! Lilith? Centaur tracks."

Sim: “Of course, the boys don’t. The Centaur leader is their teacher!  He probably betrayed Lilith, himself!”
'''Iolaus's Voice:''' "OK, so let me get this straight. You're deep inside Centaur territory. Lilith is suddenly missing. There are Centaur tracks-- all over her last known location-- but the Centaurs are innocent."

H: “All I ask, is that you talk to Cheiron about what’s really goin’ on here, before you start something that you won’t be able to stop!”
'''Iolaus:''' "Herc-- what's wrong with this picture?"

Cyane: “Don’t lecture me about war!  You may play at it in a schoolyard, but I’ve seen the real thing, OK?!”
'''Hercules:''' "What's wrong with this picture is that no one's looking at the whole picture. Somebody planted those tracks."

H: “Then you know _exactly_ how important it is to find another way!”
'''Iolaus:''' "What? With their handy-dandy, little hoofprint-makers?"

Sim: “There is no other way!  It has ever been so between the Centaurs and us-- their cunning against our strength-- their _lies_ against our truth. They accuse us of the very crimes that _they_-- commit!”
'''Hercules:''' "We both know that Cheiron's too honorable to lie."

H [Aside to I]:  “Where have I heard that before?”
'''Iolaus:''' "He wouldn't know where to start."

Sim: “I say there is only one way to deal with Centaurs!”
'''Hercules:''' "I haven't known Cyane very long, but I know that she wouldn't lie to send her people into battle."

Amazons: “War!  War!  War!  War!  War!  War!  War!”
'''Iolaus:''' "Yeah, but they both _can't_ be telling the truth."

Sim and Amazons:  “War!”
'''Hercules:''' "Whoever took Lilith, left scorch marks on a tree branch. The Amazons don't fight with fire. Neither do the Centaurs."

Amazons: “War!  War!  War!  War!  War!  Come on!  War!  Come on!  War!”
'''Iolaus:''' "So-- it's gotta be-- "

Cyane: “My first duty is to my people.  We attack at dawn.”
'''Hercules''' and '''Iolaus:''' "-- a setup-- "

Sim: “Yes.
'''Hercules:''' "-- that's right. See, she's gotta listen to us, now."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Cyane:''' "Lilith was from your own academy. Your blood should boil to avenge her."
[ACT I]

H: “I don’t know what to do.  You know? Both sides are so blinded by hate and mistrust, that they won’t listen.”
'''Hercules:''' "Don't you see-- that somebody wants this rage?"

I: “Well-- you know, if you wanna trick someone, you make them so angry, they can’t think straight, and-- sure, they’d do anything you want.
'''Iolaus:''' "Yeah, someone wants this war."

H: “I think someone on both sides knows your trick.”
'''Cyane:''' "Who? Do ya have proof?"

I: “Where are you going?”
'''Simula:''' "Of course, the boys don't. The Centaur leader is their teacher! He probably betrayed Lilith, himself!"

H: “I may be able to stop this-- but if I’m not back by dawn-- ”
'''Hercules:''' "All I ask, is that you talk to Cheiron about what's really goin' on here, before you start something that you won't be able to stop!"

I: “Back?! Back from where?!
'''Cyane:''' "Don't lecture me about war! You may play at it in a schoolyard, but I've seen the real thing, OK?!"

H: “Stay here-- and do anything you can to stop this war!
'''Hercules:''' "Then you know _exactly_ how important it is to find another way!"

I: “What?!
'''Simula:''' "There is no other way! It has ever been so between the Centaurs and us-- their cunning against our strength-- their _lies_ against our truth. They accuse us of the very crimes that _they_-- commit!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Hercules''' [Aside to '''Iolaus''']: "Where have I heard that before?"
Sim: “Looking for me? Yah!”

H: “How is it that an Amazon and a Centaur speak the exact same words?”
'''Simula:''' "I say there is only one way to deal with Centaurs!"

Sim: “When trying to start a war?  Get a clue, Bro.  [Morphs]  I’m Discord-- the half-sister you’re gonna wish you never had.”
'''Amazons:''' "War! War! War! War! War! War! War!"

H: “Sister?  How big a family do I have?  Well, just wait till Cyane finds out, Sis.”
'''Simula''' and '''Amazons:''' "War!"

Dis: “And how’s that supposed to happen?  It’ll be a trusted Amazon’s word against yours.”
'''Amazons:''' "War! War! War! War! War! Come on! War! Come on! War!"

H: “Where are the missing Amazons and Centaurs?!  Where?!”
'''Cyane:''' "My first duty is to my people. We attack at dawn."

Dis: “OK!  Just-- back off!  They’re in the cavern of Hephaestus’ torch!  But, you’ll never  free them-- and get back by dawn.
'''Simula:''' "Yes."

H:  “We’ll see about  that!”
== Act One ==

Strife: “Just wait till Uncle Ares finds out that _you’ve_ got a big mouth!”
'''Hercules:''' "I don't know what to do. You know? Both sides are so blinded by hate and mistrust, that they won't listen."

Dis: “You mean, that I’ve just sent Hercules to his doom?”
'''Iolaus:''' "Well-- you know, if you wanna trick someone, you make them so angry, they can't think straight, and-- sure, they'd do anything you want."

Strife: “Uh-huh. [Laughs, then Screams]  Phew.  Whew.”
'''Hercules:''' "I think someone on both sides knows your trick."

Dis: “I think I can take the heat.”
'''Iolaus:''' "Where are you going?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Hercules:''' "I may be able to stop this-- but if I'm not back by dawn-- "
H:  “Lilith!  Cavil?”

Cavil: “Yeah?
'''Iolaus:''' "Back?! Back from where?!"

H: “OK.  Hi.  Lilith.”
'''Hercules:''' "Stay here-- and do anything you can to stop this war!"

Lil: “Hercules-- how did you find us?
'''Iolaus:''' "What?!"

H: “A little goddess told me.  Hephaestus sure does do solid work.  Listen-- is there a key?
'''Simula:''' "Looking for me? Yah!"

Lil: “Yeah.”
'''Hercules:''' "How is it that an Amazon and a Centaur speak the exact same words?"

H: “Uh-oh.
'''Simula:''' "When trying to start a war? Get a clue, Bro. [Morphs] I'm Discord-- the half-sister you're gonna wish you never had."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Hercules:''' "Sister? How big a family do I have? Well, just wait till Cyane finds out, Sis."
[ACT II]

Lil: “Hercules, look out!”  [Screams]
'''Discord:''' "And how's that supposed to happen? It'll be a trusted Amazon's word against yours."

H: “I knew Discord gave up too easily.”
'''Hercules:''' "Where are the missing Amazons and Centaurs?! Where?!"

Lil: “Look out! Cavil! Hercules! Remember what Cheiron says!  Attack the archer-- not the arrow!”
'''Discord:''' "OK! Just-- back off! They're in the cavern of Hephaestus' torch! But, you'll never free them-- and get back by dawn."

H: “Right.  Thanks for the tip.”
'''Hercules:''' "We'll see about that!"

Lil: “Looks like you were right all along.  Ahh-- maybe you cadets-- aren’t such a lame bunch-- after all.”
'''Strife:''' "Just wait till Uncle Ares finds out that _you've_ got a big mouth!"

H: “Well-- not all of us, anyway.”
'''Discord:''' "You mean, that I've just sent Hercules to his doom?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Strife:''' "Uh-huh. [Laughs, then Screams] Phew. Whew."
Cyane:  “Your squad will destroy the Centaur rear guard, and then drive their main body into the woods.

Amazon: “Cyane-- the boy-- Iolaus-- requests an audience.
'''Discord:''' "I think I can take the heat."

Cyane: “Hercules is not in camp.  Has his loyalty to Cheiron led him to change sides?
'''Hercules:''' "Lilith! Cavil?"

I: “Hercules doesn’t have a side.  Cyane, please listen to me.  Look, I know a con when I see one, and this has ‘Setup’ chiseled all over it.”
'''Cavil:''' "Yeah?"

An Amazon: “Your Majesty!  The Centaur scouts have taken the field.
'''Hercules:''' "OK. Hi. Lilith."

I: “You gotta give Herc more time.  Come on, he’s a good guy, and he cares a lot about you.”
'''Lilith:''' "Hercules-- how did you find us?"

Cyane: “Put him somewhere.
'''Hercules:''' "A little goddess told me. Hephaestus sure does do solid work. Listen-- is there a key?"

I: “Wait. Cyane!  Cyane!  It’s not too late!  Don’t _do_ this!  You’re makin’ a mistake!”
'''Lilith:''' "Yeah."

Cyane: “Begin the attack!”
'''Hercules:''' "Uh-oh."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
== Act Two ==
Cheiron’s Voice:  “Steady, Brothers.”

Centaur’s Voice: “Amazons! Amazons!”
'''Lilith:''' "Hercules, look out!" [Screams]

Amazon’s Voice: “Archers, release!  Release!  Again!”
'''Hercules:''' "I knew Discord gave up too easily."

Cheiron:  “Take a squad and stop those archers! We can’t let them force us into the trees, where the Amazons have the advantage!  Go!  Take care!
'''Lilith:''' "Look out! Cavil! Hercules! Remember what Cheiron says! Attack the archer-- not the arrow!"

Centaur’s Voice: “The advance guard is already in position!”
'''Hercules:''' "Right. Thanks for the tip."

Cyane: “Half of you attack. Force them this way.
'''Lilith:''' "Looks like you were right all along. Ahh-- maybe you cadets-- aren't such a lame bunch-- after all."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Hercules:''' "Well-- not all of us, anyway."
H:  “That was some quick thinkin’ back there.

Lil: “So, I’m a good warrior-- huh?”
'''Cyane:''' "Your squad will destroy the Centaur rear guard, and then drive their main body into the woods."

H: “Well-- that’s what you wanted.
'''Amazon:''' "Cyane-- the boy-- Iolaus-- requests an audience."

Lil: “I was so excited when I joined the Amazons. I mean, they were real warriors!  And, you know? They accepted me-- a sword or an arrow solved every problem.”
'''Cyane:''' "Hercules is not in camp. Has his loyalty to Cheiron led him to change sides?"

H: “It’s never that easy.
'''Iolaus:''' "Hercules doesn't have a side. Cyane, please listen to me. Look, I know a con when I see one, and this has 'Setup' chiseled all over it."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''An Amazon:''' "Your Majesty! The Centaur scouts have taken the field."
Cyane: “I’ll destroy you for what you’ve done to my people, Cheiron.

Cheiron: “Ahh!  Your lies will stain the honor of this battlefield!  Leave, or face obliteration!”
'''Iolaus:''' "You gotta give Herc more time. Come on, he's a good guy, and he cares a lot about you."

Cyane: “Never!”
'''Cyane:''' "Put him somewhere."

Strife: “Wow. [Laughs]  Look at them go at each other.”
'''Iolaus:''' "Wait. Cyane! Cyane! It's not too late! Don't _do_ this! You're makin' a mistake!"

Dis: “You know what?  The destruction of one leader at the hand of the other-- might be just the touch we need.”
'''Cyane:''' "Begin the attack!"

Strife: “Of course!  That means the losing side would never-- you know-- make peace. So-- who wins?”
'''Cheiron's Voice:''' "Steady, Brothers."

Cyane: “Leave these lands forever, Cheiron, or breathe your last.”
'''Centaur's Voice:''' "Amazons! Amazons!"

Cheiron: “Kill me, and another Centaur will take my place.  Injustice cannot abide.”
'''Amazon's Voice:''' "Archers, release! Release! Again!"

H: “Cyane!
'''Cheiron:''' "Take a squad and stop those archers! We can't let them force us into the trees, where the Amazons have the advantage! Go! Take care!"

Strife: “Uh!
'''Centaur's Voice:''' "The advance guard is already in position!"

H: “Uh!”
'''Cyane:''' "Half of you attack. Force them this way."

Strife: “Is it my imagination, or is your doomed half-brother still alive?!”
'''Hercules:''' "That was some quick thinkin' back there."

H: “I can prove that you’ve been tricked!  Stop fighting and listen!”
'''Lilith:''' "So, I'm a good warrior-- huh?"

Strife: “‘Stop fighting.’”
'''Hercules:''' "Well-- that's what you wanted."

“Sim”: “Don’t listen to him! We must avenge our dead sisters!”
'''Lilith:''' "I was so excited when I joined the Amazons. I mean, they were real warriors! And, you know? They accepted me-- a sword or an arrow solved every problem."

Sim: “You mean us?”
'''Hercules:''' "It's never that easy."

I:  “No, it’s just a scratch.  You’ll be OK.
'''Cyane:''' "I'll destroy you for what you've done to my people, Cheiron."

“Sim”: “Oh-- where did you get those fakes?”
'''Cheiron:''' "Ahh! Your lies will stain the honor of this battlefield! Leave, or face obliteration!"

Cyane: “What?”
'''Cyane:''' "Never!"

H: “Don’t ask.
'''Strife:''' "Wow. [Laughs] Look at them go at each other."

Strife: “I think they’re onto us.”  [Laughs]
'''Discord:''' "You know what? The destruction of one leader at the hand of the other-- might be just the touch we need."

Dis: “Well, they are now.
'''Strife:''' "Of course! That means the losing side would never-- you know-- make peace. So-- who wins?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Cyane:''' "Leave these lands forever, Cheiron, or breathe your last."
Dis: “You really _blew_ it, this time.

Strife: “Oh!  Me?!  Well, you wait until I tell Uncle Ares that ‘Little Miss Drama Goddess’ spilled the beans to Hercules!”
'''Cheiron:''' "Kill me, and another Centaur will take my place. Injustice cannot abide."

Dis: “If you live that long.”
'''Hercules:''' "Cyane!"

Ares: “Start talkin’, and make it good!
'''Strife:''' "Uh!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Hercules:''' "Uh!"
Sim: “Hungry?”

Centaur: “Ah-- thanks.”
'''Strife:''' "Is it my imagination, or is your doomed half-brother still alive?!"

H: “Well-- it seems like we’re always saying goodbye, huh?”
'''Hercules:''' "I can prove that you've been tricked! Stop fighting and listen!"

Cyane: “Well-- it doesn’t-- it doesn’t have to be that way.
'''Strife:''' "'Stop fighting.'"

H: “You know I can’t stay.  I have to go back with Cheiron, and you have to lead your people.”
'''Simula:''' "Don't listen to him! We must avenge our dead sisters!"

Cyane: “You have the heart of an Amazon.  I pray our paths will cross again.  You know? Since the-- the-the Fates haven’t allowed us much time, we should-- probably-- use it-- quite wisely.”
'''Simula:''' "You mean us?"

H: “Really.
'''Iolaus:''' "No, it's just a scratch. You'll be OK."

Cyane: “Mmm.”
'''Simula:''' "Oh-- where did you get those fakes?"

H: “Mm-hmm.”
'''Cyane:''' "What?"

Cyane: “Mmm.
'''Hercules:''' "Don't ask."

H: “Mmm.
'''Strife:''' "I think they're onto us." [Laughs]

I: “Hey, um-- Herc. Whoa!”
'''Discord:''' "Well, they are now."

H: “Oh, uh--”
'''Discord:''' "You really _blew_ it, this time."

I:  “Ooh!
'''Strife:''' "Oh! Me?! Well, you wait until I tell Uncle Ares that 'Little Miss Drama Goddess' spilled the beans to Hercules!"

H: “Ha-ha-- Iolaus.
'''Discord:''' "If you live that long."

I: “Ooh.”
'''Ares:''' "Start talkin', and make it good!"

H: “Yeah.”
'''Simula:''' "Hungry?"

I: “Well, this is awkward.”  [They laugh.]
'''Centaur:''' "Ah-- thanks."

H: “You know?  We, uh-- really should talk about your timing, you know?
'''Hercules:''' "Well-- it seems like we're always saying goodbye, huh?"

I: “Yeah.  Sorry, but, uh-- Cheiron wants to see ya.
'''Cyane:''' "Well-- it doesn't-- it doesn't have to be that way."

H: “Uh-huh.
'''Hercules:''' "You know I can't stay. I have to go back with Cheiron, and you have to lead your people."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
'''Cyane:''' "You have the heart of an Amazon. I pray our paths will cross again. You know? Since the-- the-the Fates haven't allowed us much time, we should-- probably-- use it-- quite wisely."
Cheiron:  “Sometimes-- emotions cloud reason.  And even a teacher forgets lessons he’s taught for so long.  You reminded me of them-- and I thank you.

Lil: “Hey, you guys?  Hey, you aren’t leaving without me, were you?”
'''Hercules:''' "Really."

I: “You’re going back to the academy?”
'''Cyane:''' "Mmm."

Lil: “Yeah.
'''Hercules:''' "Mm-hmm."

I: “That’s great.
'''Cyane:''' "Mmm."

Lil: “Yeah, well, there may be a few things left for-- Cheiron to teach me. Hey, I understand what you meant, now.  I mean, I’ll never be-- one of the boys, but-- well, being different isn’t always bad.”
'''Hercules:''' "Mmm."

Cheiron: “It can be your burden or your strength. It’s up to you.”
'''Iolaus:''' "Hey, um-- Herc. Whoa!"

I: “Ooh-- ah!  Herc!  Can’t we stay a little longer?!  Please?  I mean, I-I really think I can learn a lot from the Amazons, you know?  Like-- I think I could-- really fit in here.”
'''Hercules:''' "Oh, uh--"

H: “Well-- I hate to tell you this, Iolaus-- but you’d never pass the physical.
'''Iolaus:''' "Ooh!"

'''Hercules:''' "Ha-ha-- Iolaus."

'''Iolaus:''' "Ooh."

'''Hercules:''' "Yeah."

'''Iolaus:''' "Well, this is awkward." [They laugh.]

'''Hercules:''' "You know? We, uh-- really should talk about your timing, you know?"

'''Iolaus:''' "Yeah. Sorry, but, uh-- Cheiron wants to see ya."

'''Hercules:''' "Uh-huh."

'''Cheiron:''' "Sometimes-- emotions cloud reason. And even a teacher forgets lessons he's taught for so long. You reminded me of them-- and I thank you."

'''Lilith:''' "Hey, you guys? Hey, you aren't leaving without me, were you?"

'''Iolaus:''' "You're going back to the academy?"

'''Lilith:''' "Yeah."

'''Iolaus:''' "That's great."

'''Lilith:''' "Yeah, well, there may be a few things left for-- Cheiron to teach me. Hey, I understand what you meant, now. I mean, I'll never be-- one of the boys, but-- well, being different isn't always bad."

'''Cheiron:''' "It can be your burden or your strength. It's up to you."

'''Iolaus:''' "Ooh-- ah! Herc! Can't we stay a little longer?! Please? I mean, I-I really think I can learn a lot from the Amazons, you know? Like-- I think I could-- really fit in here."

'''Hercules:''' "Well-- I hate to tell you this, Iolaus-- but you'd never pass the physical."

Teaser

Iolaus: "We're talkin' about Amazons, here."

Narrator: "Previously, on 'Young Hercules.'

Cyane's Voice: "We've finally found a place we can-- call our own. We can-- "

Cyane: "-- finally be at peace."

Hercules: "I'm really happy for you, Cyane."

Simula: "Help! The beast attacked and dragged them away!"

Cyane: "Who did this?"

Simula: "Centaurs!"

Cheiron: "I know of no such attack."

Cavil: "You see? It has ever been so between the Amazons and us. Their cunning against our strength. They accuse us of the very crimes that they commit."

Lilith: "What?!" [Screams]

Hercules: "Lilith!"

Discord: "My plan is working-- perfectly."

Strife: "They're suffering. Uncle Ares is gonna be so pleased with us!"

Cyane: "You must go. You must go find Cheiron and tell him that the attacks-- must cease, and restitution paid-- or there _will_ be war!"

Hercules's Voice: "Somethin' doesn't add up, here. If I only had enough time to figure this all out."

Lilith: "What if you don't?"

Hercules: "The two people that I care about are gonna spend tomorrow trying to destroy each other."

Strife: "This war is on!"

Narrator: "Now, on Young Hercules-- "

Discord: "The Amazons think the Centaurs have attacked them-- and the Centaurs-- think the Amazons attacked them. Mortals are so clueless. I love it when my plans cause pain."

Strife: [Clears throat]: "_My_ plan."

Discord: "OK-- our plan?"

Strife: "I feel gloriously-- loathesome. Uncle Ares is gonna be _so_-- what the-- ?"

Ares: "-- very, very upset."

Discord: "What's your problem?"

Strife: "You know? I bet he hates your little scheme." [Screams]

Ares: "No, it's not bad, except for-- one, tiny detail."

Discord: "Lemme guess-- the Amazons."

Ares: "Who said you could mess with my favorite mortals?"

Strife: "Maybe next time-- you'll listen to me." [Screams]

Discord: "OK-- so maybe Strife did get a little carried away. But after all-- the last time I checked-- dear Brother-- you were the god of war?"

Strife: "Swords-- spears-- mayhem. I mean-- all that great war stuff. Isn't that worth a few Amazons?"

Ares: "Hmm. War. Amazons. Amazons, war. War is good. OK, carry on. But guys-- one last thing-- "

Strife: "Oh, uh, uh, uh, uh-- be sure to wash your hands after every conquest."

Ares: "Hercules! That sniveling, half-mortal spawn of Zeus-- Daddy's coddled favorite--"

Strife: "-- that you despise?"

Ares: "Don't-- and let me repeat this-- don't-- underestimate Hercules."

Strife: [Whispers]: "OK."

Discord: "I'm way ahead of you."

Discord's Voice: "Our miserable little half-brother's about to be history."

Lilith: "You haven't said a word in the last two miles."

Hercules: "Cheiron's only given the Amazons until dawn, tomorrow to get out of Centaur territory."

Lilith: "This is Amazon land, now! And we aren't gonna be chased off by anyone. If the Centaurs want a war, then fine, we'll give 'em one!"

Hercules: "There's got to be a better way, Lilith."

Lilith: "There isn't! They've been hunting us down, and all we wanna do is live in peace!"

Hercules: "The Centaurs say the Amazons have been doing same thing to them!"

Lilith: "Oh, and you believe them?!"

Hercules: "I just don't wanna see people I care about die!"

Lilith: "That's not true! You're just taking that Centaur's side!"

Hercules: "His name is Cheiron! He used to mean something to you, Lilith! He was more than just a teacher to you, and he _cared_ about you!"

Hercules's Voice: "Lilith!"

Hercules: "Lilith! Lilith? Centaur tracks."

Iolaus's Voice: "OK, so let me get this straight. You're deep inside Centaur territory. Lilith is suddenly missing. There are Centaur tracks-- all over her last known location-- but the Centaurs are innocent."

Iolaus: "Herc-- what's wrong with this picture?"

Hercules: "What's wrong with this picture is that no one's looking at the whole picture. Somebody planted those tracks."

Iolaus: "What? With their handy-dandy, little hoofprint-makers?"

Hercules: "We both know that Cheiron's too honorable to lie."

Iolaus: "He wouldn't know where to start."

Hercules: "I haven't known Cyane very long, but I know that she wouldn't lie to send her people into battle."

Iolaus: "Yeah, but they both _can't_ be telling the truth."

Hercules: "Whoever took Lilith, left scorch marks on a tree branch. The Amazons don't fight with fire. Neither do the Centaurs."

Iolaus: "So-- it's gotta be-- "

Hercules and Iolaus: "-- a setup-- "

Hercules: "-- that's right. See, she's gotta listen to us, now."

Cyane: "Lilith was from your own academy. Your blood should boil to avenge her."

Hercules: "Don't you see-- that somebody wants this rage?"

Iolaus: "Yeah, someone wants this war."

Cyane: "Who? Do ya have proof?"

Simula: "Of course, the boys don't. The Centaur leader is their teacher! He probably betrayed Lilith, himself!"

Hercules: "All I ask, is that you talk to Cheiron about what's really goin' on here, before you start something that you won't be able to stop!"

Cyane: "Don't lecture me about war! You may play at it in a schoolyard, but I've seen the real thing, OK?!"

Hercules: "Then you know _exactly_ how important it is to find another way!"

Simula: "There is no other way! It has ever been so between the Centaurs and us-- their cunning against our strength-- their _lies_ against our truth. They accuse us of the very crimes that _they_-- commit!"

Hercules [Aside to Iolaus]: "Where have I heard that before?"

Simula: "I say there is only one way to deal with Centaurs!"

Amazons: "War! War! War! War! War! War! War!"

Simula and Amazons: "War!"

Amazons: "War! War! War! War! War! Come on! War! Come on! War!"

Cyane: "My first duty is to my people. We attack at dawn."

Simula: "Yes."

Act One

Hercules: "I don't know what to do. You know? Both sides are so blinded by hate and mistrust, that they won't listen."

Iolaus: "Well-- you know, if you wanna trick someone, you make them so angry, they can't think straight, and-- sure, they'd do anything you want."

Hercules: "I think someone on both sides knows your trick."

Iolaus: "Where are you going?"

Hercules: "I may be able to stop this-- but if I'm not back by dawn-- "

Iolaus: "Back?! Back from where?!"

Hercules: "Stay here-- and do anything you can to stop this war!"

Iolaus: "What?!"

Simula: "Looking for me? Yah!"

Hercules: "How is it that an Amazon and a Centaur speak the exact same words?"

Simula: "When trying to start a war? Get a clue, Bro. [Morphs] I'm Discord-- the half-sister you're gonna wish you never had."

Hercules: "Sister? How big a family do I have? Well, just wait till Cyane finds out, Sis."

Discord: "And how's that supposed to happen? It'll be a trusted Amazon's word against yours."

Hercules: "Where are the missing Amazons and Centaurs?! Where?!"

Discord: "OK! Just-- back off! They're in the cavern of Hephaestus' torch! But, you'll never free them-- and get back by dawn."

Hercules: "We'll see about that!"

Strife: "Just wait till Uncle Ares finds out that _you've_ got a big mouth!"

Discord: "You mean, that I've just sent Hercules to his doom?"

Strife: "Uh-huh. [Laughs, then Screams] Phew. Whew."

Discord: "I think I can take the heat."

Hercules: "Lilith! Cavil?"

Cavil: "Yeah?"

Hercules: "OK. Hi. Lilith."

Lilith: "Hercules-- how did you find us?"

Hercules: "A little goddess told me. Hephaestus sure does do solid work. Listen-- is there a key?"

Lilith: "Yeah."

Hercules: "Uh-oh."

Act Two

Lilith: "Hercules, look out!" [Screams]

Hercules: "I knew Discord gave up too easily."

Lilith: "Look out! Cavil! Hercules! Remember what Cheiron says! Attack the archer-- not the arrow!"

Hercules: "Right. Thanks for the tip."

Lilith: "Looks like you were right all along. Ahh-- maybe you cadets-- aren't such a lame bunch-- after all."

Hercules: "Well-- not all of us, anyway."

Cyane: "Your squad will destroy the Centaur rear guard, and then drive their main body into the woods."

Amazon: "Cyane-- the boy-- Iolaus-- requests an audience."

Cyane: "Hercules is not in camp. Has his loyalty to Cheiron led him to change sides?"

Iolaus: "Hercules doesn't have a side. Cyane, please listen to me. Look, I know a con when I see one, and this has 'Setup' chiseled all over it."

An Amazon: "Your Majesty! The Centaur scouts have taken the field."

Iolaus: "You gotta give Herc more time. Come on, he's a good guy, and he cares a lot about you."

Cyane: "Put him somewhere."

Iolaus: "Wait. Cyane! Cyane! It's not too late! Don't _do_ this! You're makin' a mistake!"

Cyane: "Begin the attack!"

Cheiron's Voice: "Steady, Brothers."

Centaur's Voice: "Amazons! Amazons!"

Amazon's Voice: "Archers, release! Release! Again!"

Cheiron: "Take a squad and stop those archers! We can't let them force us into the trees, where the Amazons have the advantage! Go! Take care!"

Centaur's Voice: "The advance guard is already in position!"

Cyane: "Half of you attack. Force them this way."

Hercules: "That was some quick thinkin' back there."

Lilith: "So, I'm a good warrior-- huh?"

Hercules: "Well-- that's what you wanted."

Lilith: "I was so excited when I joined the Amazons. I mean, they were real warriors! And, you know? They accepted me-- a sword or an arrow solved every problem."

Hercules: "It's never that easy."

Cyane: "I'll destroy you for what you've done to my people, Cheiron."

Cheiron: "Ahh! Your lies will stain the honor of this battlefield! Leave, or face obliteration!"

Cyane: "Never!"

Strife: "Wow. [Laughs] Look at them go at each other."

Discord: "You know what? The destruction of one leader at the hand of the other-- might be just the touch we need."

Strife: "Of course! That means the losing side would never-- you know-- make peace. So-- who wins?"

Cyane: "Leave these lands forever, Cheiron, or breathe your last."

Cheiron: "Kill me, and another Centaur will take my place. Injustice cannot abide."

Hercules: "Cyane!"

Strife: "Uh!"

Hercules: "Uh!"

Strife: "Is it my imagination, or is your doomed half-brother still alive?!"

Hercules: "I can prove that you've been tricked! Stop fighting and listen!"

Strife: "'Stop fighting.'"

Simula: "Don't listen to him! We must avenge our dead sisters!"

Simula: "You mean us?"

Iolaus: "No, it's just a scratch. You'll be OK."

Simula: "Oh-- where did you get those fakes?"

Cyane: "What?"

Hercules: "Don't ask."

Strife: "I think they're onto us." [Laughs]

Discord: "Well, they are now."

Discord: "You really _blew_ it, this time."

Strife: "Oh! Me?! Well, you wait until I tell Uncle Ares that 'Little Miss Drama Goddess' spilled the beans to Hercules!"

Discord: "If you live that long."

Ares: "Start talkin', and make it good!"

Simula: "Hungry?"

Centaur: "Ah-- thanks."

Hercules: "Well-- it seems like we're always saying goodbye, huh?"

Cyane: "Well-- it doesn't-- it doesn't have to be that way."

Hercules: "You know I can't stay. I have to go back with Cheiron, and you have to lead your people."

Cyane: "You have the heart of an Amazon. I pray our paths will cross again. You know? Since the-- the-the Fates haven't allowed us much time, we should-- probably-- use it-- quite wisely."

Hercules: "Really."

Cyane: "Mmm."

Hercules: "Mm-hmm."

Cyane: "Mmm."

Hercules: "Mmm."

Iolaus: "Hey, um-- Herc. Whoa!"

Hercules: "Oh, uh--"

Iolaus: "Ooh!"

Hercules: "Ha-ha-- Iolaus."

Iolaus: "Ooh."

Hercules: "Yeah."

Iolaus: "Well, this is awkward." [They laugh.]

Hercules: "You know? We, uh-- really should talk about your timing, you know?"

Iolaus: "Yeah. Sorry, but, uh-- Cheiron wants to see ya."

Hercules: "Uh-huh."

Cheiron: "Sometimes-- emotions cloud reason. And even a teacher forgets lessons he's taught for so long. You reminded me of them-- and I thank you."

Lilith: "Hey, you guys? Hey, you aren't leaving without me, were you?"

Iolaus: "You're going back to the academy?"

Lilith: "Yeah."

Iolaus: "That's great."

Lilith: "Yeah, well, there may be a few things left for-- Cheiron to teach me. Hey, I understand what you meant, now. I mean, I'll never be-- one of the boys, but-- well, being different isn't always bad."
