- To inflict dreams (and nightmares) upon unsuspecting mortals, Morpheus uses a deck of cards. Presumably, each card gives a different dream or nightmare. For example, the one that is used on Hercules allows his greatest fear to manifest - creating an an evil version of himself that terrorizes the Academy and puts its students at risk.
