It is unknown where exactly on the map Seneca is located. It might be somewhere in Italy, possibly named after Lucius Annaeus Seneca who was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, and dramatist of the Silver Age of Latin literature, as well as tutor and later advisor to emperor Nero.
