King of Aegea, Cadmus is the father of Princess Dido. He's described by Jason as being a grumpy old guy who King Aeson was constantly having to kiss up to in order to keep the peace. He's stubborn, haughty, and very quick to declare war when he doesn't get his way. When Dido is present, though, he's as tame as a kitten.
As Jason's coronation draws closer, Cadmus sends Dido and Lady Yeta to Corinth so that Dido can marry Jason and become queen. He then, with a small entourage of guards, travels to Corinth himself to see how the wedding preparations are going.
