Hera's Cave.

So you heard the legend about a cave up in the mountains near Cheiron's Academy with a chalice inside, made by Zeus himself. If you venture inside, beware of the booby traps:

The Phoenix Statue

The Phoenix Statue: Perched above the mouth of the cave is a giant Phoenix statue, wings outspread, warning away thieves. It's just made of wood though, right? But should that wood be burned, then come sunrise the Phoenix will burst from the charred ruins and go after the thief. But don't worry - I heard that if you break off one if its horns and stab it with the horn, it'll explode.

Tripwire... erm, I mean, tripchain?

Tripwire: Stretched across the pathway of the cave is a long, thin chain waiting for some foolish treasure-hunter to walk into it. We're not sure what dastardly trap this chain sets off, but if you try to avoid the chain and leap over it, you may run straight into...

Trapdoor with Spear-filled Pit

Trapdoor with Spear-filled Pit: Be careful where you step! There are pressure sensors across the floor that, if triggered, will make the floor drop away and leave nothing between you and a pit full of spears waiting to impale you. Remember to jump over these holes if you have to run out of the cave in a hurry!

Hanging Ball o'Swords

Hanging Ball o'Swords: Anyone foolish enough to be distracted by the beauty of the Chalice will surely be unhappily jolted out of their thoughts when this sharp ball of death comes hurtling out of the shadows and impales them.

Seemingly Innocent Liquid

Seemingly Innocent Liquid: Inside the Chalice is what looks like water. Maybe the cave leaks? But be careful where you dump the 'water' - if it splashes onto the pedestal, it will erupt into a giant fireball that threatens to roast any thieves too slow to make it out of the caves.

Rock Guards: Last but not least, these guards are made out of the rock of the cave. Slow-moving and non-responsive, they're about as threatening as a slow-moving zombie, but they each have spears and seem intent on only one thing - lumbering slowly but threateningly towards anyone holding the Chalice.
