Biography

  • played the voice of Hera. She has also appeared in both Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess.

Elizabeth Hawthorne ONZM is a New Zealand-born actress best known for her role as Mrs. Macready in the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the Peter Jackson supernatural comedy The Frighteners. She played Judge Harriet Caldwell in the 2004 TV movie, Raising Waylon. She is the mother of actresses Sophia Hawthorne and Emmeline Hawthorne, and wife of actor Raymond Hawthorne.

Hawthorne was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2001, for services to the theatre.
